I’ve created constellations peering
through the base of a wine glass,
charted external spaces while
contemplating minute-long sins.
Love yous uttered from middle
mouth, the greatest heresy. Nights
apart, nights of clashing all leading
to the same infinitely solitary point.
What force is stronger than reassuring
grab of gravity—the marble circling
the edge of the basin until there
is no determination, but to drop?
