"Josh's chapbook, Vapor, is brimming with a sense of raw emotion and surreal ideas. He takes his readers to places that are at times both beautiful and heartbreaking. I quite enjoyed this book and Josh's style of writing. His steady hand guides you from each poem to the next. I highly recommend this book!"—Philip Dykhouse, author of Bury Me Here
"Martin's writing is careful and precise whether writing about love or nature, it's all done
with a light touch."—Caroline Furr
VAPOR: Losing what you love most can be tragic, but often, it’s not as bad as confronting what you’re left with in the aftermath. Vapor presents a pensive, lyrical, watercolor storyboard of that experience, exploring what happens when in order to find yourself, you need to fix yourself first. The prose is breathy, bruised and heartsick, but finds hope and joy in droplets as the speaker starts to heal. Reading through Vapor is like weathering a storm: the sounds of rain and thunder being translated so as to be read—and read again.
