WRITING COURSES

As part of our mission to empower writers and foster writing community in Philadelphia (and online!), we teach several writing courses.  See which course suits you best.

GENERATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP

Mondays, May 13 - June 24 (no class Memorial Day)

545–715pm

6 WEEKS at St. Michael's Annex in Kensington

$100 ($90 for returning writers & St. Michael's members)

10% of proceeds will be donated to St. Michael's food drive

Have you been wanting to write but don’t know where to start?  Do you have a passion for writing but haven’t written in years?  Or do you love to write but are tired of the solitude?

If any of those apply, come join us!  Each class, we’ll write based on prompts.  We’ll share our work in a nurturing environment and extra prompts will be provided for those who want to write even more at home.

This class will be taught by Toho’s founder Andrés Cruciani.  He has an MFA in writing from The New School and has been writing, editing, and teaching for 15 years.

LIMITED TO 10 PARTICIPANTS

ONE-PAGE WORKSHOP

Time: Twice a month
Location: Frankie Ann's (in Fairmount Philadelphia)

Next shop: June 27, 7 pm

$1–5 suggested donation

Do you spend too much time writing alone?  Do you have some work written and think it's time for others to read it?

If so, come join us!  This workshop is ongoing and for people of all skill levels.  Writers bring one page of work, read their work to the group, and then have their pieces critiqued.  It's that simple.  So why not join us?
